120-HOUR COMBINED TESOL CERTIFICATION
Our combined TEFL/TESOL course blends self-paced online study with eight days of teaching practice at one of our training centers. You first study English teaching principles and methods, then apply your knowledge with actual EFL/ESL students under trainer guidance.
This flexible format is ideal for those who want practical teaching experience but cannot attend a four-week onsite course because of work commitments, time, or budget. It includes the same core training components as our onsite program and leads to 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certification. Observed teaching practice strengthens your employment prospects and may support applications where documented practical experience is required.
The program comprises 120 hours, increasing to 170 hours with your free specialization. Graduates may choose one 50-hour online course: Teaching Business English, Teaching Young Learners, or Teaching TOEFL/IELTS Preparation. A specialization broadens your teaching skills and may improve your earning potential substantially.
The course also includes full career support. We help you prepare your résumé/CV and cover letter, provide school and recruiter information, and share job leads received by our school. Through professional training, practical experience, and employment guidance, we help you prepare confidently for English teaching opportunities worldwide.

Our 120-Hour Onsite TEFL/TESOL Certification combines structured theoretical training with a supervised teaching practicum, giving trainees the opportunity to develop real classroom experience before completing their certification. Throughout the program, participants build essential skills in lesson planning, classroom management, teaching methodology, and working effectively with English learners at different proficiency levels.
Beyond certification, students also benefit from career support through iTTi, including guidance on preparing a strong teaching CV and application documents, access to resources for teaching abroad, and practical information about international English-teaching opportunities. By combining international teaching standards, practical classroom experience, and career preparation, KILI and iTTi provide trainees with the skills and support they need to take the next step in their teaching careers — whether they plan to teach in Nairobi or explore opportunities around the world.
For those with little or no previous teaching experience, the 120-Hour Onsite TEFL/TESOL Certification with Teaching Practicum provides particularly valuable preparation. By combining structured theory with supervised classroom practice, trainees can develop practical skills in lesson planning, classroom management, teaching methodology, and working with learners at different proficiency levels.
Nairobi is an important center for education, business, tourism, and international organizations in East Africa, creating a diverse professional environment for teachers. A TEFL/TESOL qualification can also help graduates prepare for opportunities beyond Kenya, including teaching positions in the Gulf, Asia, Europe, and other international destinations.
Whether your goal is to teach in a classroom in Nairobi, pursue opportunities overseas, or teach English online, your TEFL/TESOL training can provide a strong foundation for taking the next step in your teaching career.
