WHY TAKE A TESOL TEFL COURSE IN LONDON

While many industries are shaken by the storms of a worldwide recession, teaching English is so much in demand that there aren’t enough teachers to fill all the vacancies around the world. There are so many countries to choose from. And each one of them is beautiful in its own way. In addition to getting to know different cultures, you also help people achieve their goals in life. And that is something they will be grateful for their entire life.

London is unbeatable for fashion, history, and vibe. It is considered one of the most exciting cities in the world, full of things to see and do, with world-famous sights, restaurants, superb shopping, a range of excellent entertainment, and a nightlife that is second to none.

Our London, accredited teacher training center is located on Borough High Street near London Bridge. Sitting in the heart of Borough High Street, the training location is a short walk from the famous Borough Market, with its food stalls, bakeries, coffee shops, and excellent restaurants.

OUR TEFL LONDON INSTITUTE

The school also features relaxing spaces away from your classroom in a kitchen and outside patio areas. Borough Underground Station is in walking distance providing fast access to both the City of London and the West End.

Our class hours are from Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 to 1:00 pm. After a week of theory input, daily teaching practice of 1 ½ hour starts at the beginning of the second week. English students come to our center, and our trainees teach them. Teaching practice is followed by an evaluation session. The feedback and further practice are to help the trainees to improve their performance.

Our TEFL trainer holds an MA TESOL and can look back at a considerable number of years in teaching English in different settings and training English teachers. She is supported by assistant trainers if the class exceeds a certain number of trainees.

It is our goal to provide high quality educational and training services to enhance the wellbeing and employment prospects of our students. The space provides for high-speed, wireless internet access.

Visits to the school have to be arranged for. Our school shares the building with other organizations. In order to avoid interruption of those programs, visitors need to have an appointment with the TEFL trainer. If you plan a visit, please e-mail us to info@www.internationaltefltraininginstitute.com requesting an appointment at least 48 hours in advance. We require your telephone phone number to be able to arrange a time and stay in touch with you on the day of your visit.

WORK IN LONDON AS A TEFL TRAINER

The nice thing about teaching jobs in London is that the curriculum is very close to other English-speaking countries, making the transition to a foreign school district minimally abrasive. Also, because English is the language of instruction, Anglophiles can apply to teach a whole variety of subjects that they may be restricted from in other non-English speaking countries. Math and science are two subjects that foreign teachers are most highly sought after in the British school system, for example.

It might be hard to find a full-time teaching job in London immediately after moving, but there are a few entry routes you can take to enhance your long-term prospects. Substitute teachers (or “supply teachers”) are needed throughout the city, making for a good starting point. Organizations such as Teach First also have a large impact on the local educational structure and can help you secure a teaching job in London’s most economically disadvantaged areas.

There are public, private, and international schools spread out all over the city where you can apply for to teach in London. Teaching jobs in London can be quite competitive, so qualified teachers with prior experience will generally be preferred. It is usually best to apply two to three months before the beginning of a new term. English schools typically run on a trimester system, spanning from early September to late July with two-week breaks separating terms.
