500-HOUR TEACHER TRAINER CERTIFICATION
For those who want to work as a TEFL/TESOL trainer, our certification program—on the level of an MA TESOL—would be the right option. With over 500 hours of academic training, the graduate will be enabled to successfully function as a teacher trainer.
To enroll, you must already have experience teaching EFL/ESL classes and hold a standard TEFL/TESOL certification. After a demanding online training, which includes both compulsory and elective subjects, the program concludes with a two-week teaching practicum at one of our TEFL training centers.
During this practicum, the prospective TEFL trainer will teach the teacher training program under the supervision of an experienced TEFL trainer. After each teaching practice, there will be detailed feedback and correction. This ensures that the trainee reaches a high level of quality when training future teachers.
Ultimately, this course will allow you to run your own TEFL program in a location of your choice. In addition, it opens employment opportunities in one of our centers or with other TEFL training organizations.
Course Description: Teacher Trainer Certification
The iTTi TEFL Course Instructor Diploma is awarded after successful completion of a structured study program. It consists of five core courses, which are mandatory for all students, and five elective courses in the student’s chosen concentration—either Teaching or Curriculum Development.
While either concentration can be completed online, the two-week residency component must be completed on-site at one of the following TEFL training centers:
All students are required to complete the five core courses, along with the two-week TEFL teaching practicum at one of these locations. The additional five electives and the professional project are completed within the selected concentration.
As the major portion of the program is delivered online, trainees can create their own study schedule. Nonetheless, regular consultations with an instructor or mentor will help track progress and provide academic support.
Most students finish the theoretical part in about six months. However, this requires a consistent study routine of 2 to 4 hours per day, plus additional study time on weekends. After all, becoming a qualified teacher trainer demands in-depth professional knowledge, which cannot be achieved in just a few weeks.
This graduate-level course provides a deeper understanding of language instruction, educational leadership, and classroom management at the college level. It goes far beyond what a standard TEFL course offers. As a result, it prepares graduates to teach English at advanced levels.
In short, TEFL trainers must demonstrate both exceptional expertise and leadership in the field of English language education.
